Abstract

Burn injuries impose significant metabolic demands on the body, leading to hypermetabolism and catabolism, which can result in malnutrition and impaired healing if not properly managed. Nutritional support is essential for improving outcomes in burn patients, with the severity of the burn influencing the intensity and approach of nutritional intervention. This review discusses the various nutritional interventions and techniques used in managing mild and severe burn patients, emphasizing the role of macronutrients, micronutrients, and specialized feeding methods to optimize recovery.
