Impact of Simulation-Based Strategies on Nurse Performance in Obstetrics and Gynecology: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract
Simulation-based strategies have emerged as innovative teaching tools in healthcare education, particularly in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN). These strategies allow nurses to practice and refine critical skills in a controlled, risk-free environment, ultimately enhancing patient care. This review explores the effects of simulation-based learning on nurse performance in OB/GYN settings, including technical and non-technical skill development, confidence building, and patient safety outcomes. The review highlights current evidence from recent studies and identifies gaps for future research.
